Chiang Mai, Thailand

Every once in a while I do something to inspire myself. Photography began as a hobby when I was 14 years old, but became a career when I was 24, and I’ll be 59 on Friday, so for 35 years I’ve primarily done what I’ve been paid to do. And although most of the time I still enjoy it, I occasionally need to work on a project just for fun. So this year I decided to spend a few weeks in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I got home a few days ago, and as hard as I tried I could only narrow down my favorites to these 80 images. It was an incredible trip that I’ll never forget, and I liked it so much I’m planning to go back in November. The weather was fantastic, the people so kind and respectful, and the food absolutely amazing. I spent hours walking the streets, meeting people, trying new foods, and capturing these images. Everything seemed so fascinating and interesting. It was overwhelming at times. I absolutely love Thailand!
