As an editorial photographer in Minnesota, I’m always photographing various events for one publication or another. This week it was the demolition of the Lourdes High School building right here in Rochester, Minnesota. This is the first step in building Mayo Clinic’s new $5 billion “Bold Forward Unbound” expansion project, which centers around a new downtown Rochester, MN, hospital that will connect to Gonda via a skyway. They plan to start construction later this year and finish the project in 2030. Bolander is the company doing the demolition work of both Lourdes High School, as well as the Ozmun Building a block to the south. Images like this also go into my Rochester, Minnesota, photo stock catalog, all of which are available to license.
