Soon the farmers here in Minnesota will be out harvesting their crops and I will once again be out shooting agricultural photography just as I have for more than 30 years. Sure, I do photograph farm life during other seasons, but harvest time is always the busiest and the most fun to shoot. And when I’m hired by an agricultural client it’s often in the fall that they want me to shoot. During the summer months there isn’t as much going on with crop farmers since all that’s really happening is crop dusting here and there. If they have animals then there are always things going on. But I always look forward to the harvest season and hope to spend some time on midwest farms. Sometimes it’s for my regular agricultural clients, such as, Minnesota Corn Growers Association, SEMA equipment and Next Era Energy and other times it’s for my photo stock.
I have specialized in commercial, corporate and editorial photography since 1991. Give me a shout if you have a project I might be able to help with!
Below are a few of my favorite agricultural images from over the years.
