When I photograph various Rochester Minnesota scenes I’m not really thinking about the historic value they may have one day. But today I was working on my Rochester Minnesota photography stock gallery and realized that many capture aspects of our city that no longer exist or have greatly changed. All of these were shot on slide film as far back as about 1995. I’ve been photographing Rochester Minnesota for 27 years now, so have thousands of images in my files. The older ones, which were shot on slide film, have been scanned and converted to digital files, like all of these.
