As an agricultural photographer in Minnesota I always look forward to fall when the farmers are out harvesting corn and soybeans. If I’m not hired to photograph anything in particular I will always try to get out a few times just to shoot for fun and to build my agricultural photo stock. And I recently realized I have a lot more with John Deere equipment than I do with Case, so I specifically set out to spend some time with a farmer using the red stuff. Les Anderson of Welch, Minnesota, is a Minnesota farmer I have photographed in the past for longtime client, Minnesota Corn Growers Association. So I contacted him and made arrangements to meet him in the field one afternoon this week. It had been sunny most of the day, but unfortunately it clouded-up on my way there and the sun never broke through. But I still managed to capture some nice images of Les and his wife, Jeanne, harvesting soybeans and I’m planning to go back later this week or sometime next week. Anyway, here are some highlights from this shoot.
