This month I spent a few days doing some commercial agricultural and industrial photography for the nations largest John Deere dealership: RDO Equipment. These guys have 75 stores in nine U.S. states, but we focused on the ones in Dayton and Moorehead, Minnesota.
We photographed guys working in the parts department, mechanics in the shop, sales people on the lot showing large Verneer, John Deere and other equipment, exteriors of their beautiful new building in Dayton, and everything in between! It was a couple of very long and busy days!
RDO Equipment is quite the success story. This is from the company website: “The year is 1968. 26-year-old potato farmer, Ron Offutt, is farming alongside his father in Moorhead, MN, operating John Deere equipment rented from the local dealership in nearby Casselton, ND.
The same year, Ron purchased that agriculture equipment store and grew it into a company with more than 75 stores in nine states, selling and supporting agriculture, construction, environmental, irrigation, positioning, and surveying equipment from leading manufacturers including John Deere, Vermeer, and Topcon. Today, RDO Equipment Co. also has partnerships in Africa, Australia, Mexico, Russia, and Ukraine, making it a total solutions provider and partner to customers around the globe – those who build, feed, and support our communities.”
