Earlier this month I spent a morning in Owatonna, Minnesota, doing some commercial photography of an underground utilities project for Ellingson Companies. These guys were locating old lines, removing them and replacing with an upgraded system that will last for decades. Photographing guys doing industrial work like this is always fun and interesting to me. I’ve been doing commercial industrial photography for 29 years now and shooting for Ellingson for almost a decade. One time they even flew me down to Texas to photograph a large-scale trenchless drilling project for an oil pipeline. You’ll see numerous images from that shoot in my Industrial portfolio.

Ellingson Companies is a third-generation, family-owned, company based out of West Concord, Minnesota, that specializes in agricultural water management (drain tile), underground utilities, commercial and industrial infrastructure, and even oil pipeline trenchless drilling.
