I recently did a couple of commercial photography shoots for longtime Rochester, Minnesota, client, Elcor Construction. These guys do all sorts of big projects in and around Rochester, including underground utilities, excavation, paving, grading, trucking and so on. One of the projects I I did for them was on 55th St., NW in Rochester and the other was out in Kasson. Industrial photography shoots like this are always fun for me. I just find the equipment, people and processes so interesting. There are guys pushing around dirt and digging holes with big machinery, interesting characters, and all sorts of other cool things going on. And this was one of the first industrial photography projects where I used my new drone. I didn’t shoot many aerials, because most of this is better from ground level, but getting some overall shots showing the scope worked well.

Below are a few of the highlights. Enjoy!
