A couple of weeks ago Elcor Construction made the final cement pour at the Broadway project in downtown Rochester, Minnesota. They’ve been working on the renovation of the section between Civic Center Drive and Silver Lake Drive for a few months now and are getting close to completion. I’ve photographed Elcor’s projects for quite a few years now and always love doing work for them. There’s just something about guys operating large machinery, digging holes, moving dirt and pouring cement that is fun to watch and document. I’ve specialized in commercial industrial photography for 30 years now and it’s one of my favorite subjects to shoot. And this is one of the first times I got to use my drone for a project like this, which made for an awesome perspective on this job. I would have been very limited without it and wouldn’t have been able to show the size and scope of the project. Below are a few highlights.
