Based in Rochester, Minnesota, photographer Dean Riggott specializes in commercial, corporate, editorial, architectural and documentary-style wedding photography. His work has been featured nationwide in advertisements, brochures, award-winning college view books, annual reports, business plans and proposals, web sites, marketing brochures and a wide variety of publications.

Much of Dean’s professional work is done in collaboration with advertising agencies. His commercial and corporate photography provides image solutions for a long and loyal customer base, which includes Mayo Clinic, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Cambria, Pfizer, Seneca Foods and Wells Fargo.

A former newspaper photojournalist himself, Dean’s editorial clients include Successful Farming Magazine, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Plan Sponsor, Associated Press, Bloomberg News, eServer Magazine, MSP Communications, Minnesota Medical Magazine and Sierra Magazine. His wedding photography also has been featured in numerous publications, including Minnesota Bride and The Knot magazine.

Dean’s photographic versatility has contributed to his reputation as one of the more creative and versatile photographers in the area.

 

Using state-of-the-art digital equipment, he provides immediate turnaround of ultra-high resolution images for same-day evaluation and use from his on-location shoots.

Dean published his first book in 1997, “Rochester: The Images,” which went on to become the best-selling book about Rochester and has consistently appeared on the best-seller list at local Barnes & Nobel stores. He has since published two additional books, “Life on the Farm: A Pictorial Journey of Minnesota’s Farmland and its People” (2001) and “Rochester Minnesota: A Visual and Historic Journey” (2004). Dean also was one of 20 Minnesota photographers selected to shoot photographs for the hardcover books “America 24/7” (2003) and “Minnesota 24/7” (2004).

In addition to Dean’s assignment work, he has thousands of Rochester, Minnesota, and agricultural images available for stock use. Standard and custom-sized prints of Dean’s images also are available. He is an exclusive member of the nation’s largest agricultural photo stock agency, Grant Heilman Photography.
